Due to the economic crisis created by the COVID-19 pandemic, the poverty rate has been increasing each year since 2020. Currently, 37 million, or 11% of all Americans are living in poverty and struggling to afford basic necessities. During this time there are many who are victims of hypothermia and pneumonia because they are homeless and sleeping out in the cold. As the year is coming to ending this is a time to reflect back on the blessing many us have received and give back to those less fortunate.
